When do we need an SOS remedy?
There are so many times in our busy lives where our skin may be calling for an SOS remedy. The reasons are many and varied, from:
- a build up of stress
- pregnancy - when female hormones go a little crazy!
- illness or surgery
- using products containing fruit acids or retinol for a prolonged period
- having microdermbrasion or a chemical peel that turns out to be way too harsh
- certain laser treatments which leave the skin looking angry for much longer that we are told is normal
- wearing a heavy film of make-up daily without a break
- exfoliating too often
- wearing sun screen containing chemical UV absorbers for a prolonged period
Our skin lets us know when it's time to hit the STOP button, and we need to act as soon as we see the warning signs in the mirror. This can be one or several of the following:
- an itchy sensation
- redness and blotchiness, especially after showering
- a feeling of heat, particularly in the cheeks
- an unusually tight sensation
- obvious dehydration that your daily moisturiser just can't fix
- constant flaking and peeling
Take the opportunity to rebalance, re-set, and strengthen your skin with a super relaxing MV skin holiday!
